Download vault — encrypted export
This file is encrypted, not plain text. It's locked with its own password (which can be the same as your vault password, or a different one) using Argon2id + AES-256-GCM — the same scheme protecting your local vault. Anyone who opens the file without that password sees only ciphertext.
Import vault — from a PasXNG export
Only accepts a file downloaded from PasXNG's own "Download vault" option above. Imported entries are added alongside what's already here. Nothing existing is ever overwritten or removed.
